To our friends:

When we were in elementary school, we learned that almost one billion children lived in poverty, without sufficient nutrition, a rich education, books to read, pens to draw. The strength of these people has been inspiring to us. Knowing how we were so privileged to have so many opportunities, our hope was to share that with the rest of the world. This is our story.

During one summer when we were in elementary school, we visited our father’s side of the family in a rural area of China. Over the years, we have often heard heart-touching stories about people who had never had a filling meal their whole lives or children who had no books to read but instead had to work in farms and fields. We drove by villages with old buildings and dirt paths. It was an amazing experience for us to see how different a place halfway around the world was, especially since we have never been exposed to a life of hardship before. Our eyes were opened to the real, broad world.

Feeling the need to help the people there, we hoped to make a change. To set out and reach our goals, in 2010, we co-founded the We Are The World Kids Foundation, our dream being to help underprivileged children around the world.  Along with our regional directors Lily Ma, Stevie Yang and others, we have worked together to develop ideas to fundraise for our latest endeavor: Project Cambodia.

With more than $10,000.00 raised, our goal is to build a library supplied with a few computers for the school in Kauk Rovieng, Cambodia. We hope that you will join us on our journey to be able to provide underprivileged children around the world have the chance to have a brighter future! Thank you so much for your undying support!

 Sincerely,

The Founders
